The first session lasts 60 minutes. Please bring your prescription with you (10× 60 min physiotherapy / occupational therapy). A bone density measurement is also required for robotic gait therapy.

01 What happens at the first appointment?
The first appointment begins with a detailed discussion with the treating therapist, in which the patient's medical history and current status are recorded. Based on this information, a comprehensive assessment and various tests, the therapy goals are defined together and the therapy plan is drawn up. 02 What is conventional physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy is working with movement, focusing on the development and functioning of the musculoskeletal system and the interplay between sensory and motor functions. The therapists work manually or with the help of instructions and demonstrations.
03 What is conventional occupational therapy?
In occupational therapy, the focus is on individual everyday life and increasing the independence of clients. Various measures are carried out, such as everyday life, sensitivity and perception training, initiating movements and cognitive exercises.
04 What is device-assisted therapy?
The use of robotic and sensor-supported devices enables intensive, individualized therapy with a high degree of efficiency. As in conventional physiotherapy and occupational therapy, the aim is to (re)learn movements, improve functions and ultimately increase independence. 05 What is robotic gait therapy?
As part of gait therapy, the functions and movements required for walking are taught and repeated many times. In robotic gait therapy, a robotic system operated by trained therapists holds the person and guides these movements. You can find out which systems are used at tech2people at hier!
06 What is functional electrical stimulation?
Exoskeletal gait therapy in the EksoNR® can be combined simultaneously with functional electrical stimulation at the tech2people therapy center. The gait phase-synchronous stimulation of the corresponding muscle groups in the legs is intended to promote the relearning of movement and, in addition to stimulating the metabolism in the muscle, also has a positive effect on the heart, respiration and blood sugar levels.
