Amadeo

Amadeo - The motivating hand and finger therapy

The Amadeo - an innovative robotic and sensor-supported therapy device - is used for hand and finger rehabilitation in children and adults in all phases of rehabilitation. The system enables passive as well as assistive and active therapies for impaired or lost hand and/or finger function.

The built-in sensors allow direct, virtual feedback, which promotes the motivation of our patients and allows them to control the various therapy games. The sensor technology supports our therapists in precisely documenting and evaluating the progress of the therapy and adapting the therapy individually.

With the help of the Amadeo, excellent results can be achieved for all those affected and the limits of what is possible can be pushed in the shortest possible time to restore the functions of the gross and fine motor skills of the hands and fingers.

Advantages:

  • Passive, assistive and active movement therapy for fingers and hands
  • Sensitivity and proprioception training
  • Spasticity treatment
  • Measurement of strength and range of motion
  • Motivating, playful therapy exercises in all movement planes
  • Short setup time

Success stories

  • Philipp's right hand has been constantly cramped since an accident; as a right-handed person, he had to learn to do a lot with his left hand. Since starting occupational therapy treatment at Amadeo, he has noticed how the spasticity/spasm is becoming more and more relaxed. Philipp can now grip a joystick again.
  • Mrs. B. has hardly been able to muster any strength in her left hand since the brain haemorrhage. Thanks to the consistent therapy with the physiotherapist at Amadeo, Mrs. B. has regained the strong hand pressure she used to have.
