Hirob
Hirob - Hippotherapy-like training for core, balance and coordination, individually adaptable and playfully challenging
With the Hirob from Intelligent Motion, hippotherapy can be imitated by performing movements similar to a horse on the therapy device. The seat surface resembles a horse's back without a saddle. This increases uprightness in the pelvis and trunk.
The therapy robot performs irregular movements in different directions (e.g. tilting sideways, turning, etc.), to which the patient must react. This requires a constant change and adaptation of the movement. This is particularly good for trunk activity. The speed and intensity can be adapted to the patient's needs.
Various exercises can be performed on the device in a seated position and new stimuli can be used to prevent the patient becoming accustomed to a particular movement pattern. The treating therapist can also challenge the patient with activities such as throwing a ball, grasping a tire or stretching exercises.
The height of the therapy robot's seat can be individually adjusted. This makes it easy to transfer.
The type, intensity and speed of movement can be adjusted at any time depending on the indication, the patient's state of recovery or daily condition.
