Lokomat Pro
LokomatPro Sensations with FreeD - High-intensity, individualized, physiological gait training
The Lokomat is one of the most established and best-researched robotic systems in neurological therapy and has become a standard in modern neurorehabilitation. It was also developed for people with severe impairments in order to regain or improve their partially or completely lost leg function.
The Lokomat consists of a weight relief system, a treadmill and exoskeleton orthoses that can be adapted to both adults and children.
The integrated sensors use exciting and motivating games to provide task-specific feedback on the patient's current performance and therapy progress, helping them to achieve their therapy goals more quickly.
At tech2people, we have one of the few LokomatPro machines of the latest generation with a FreeD module. FreeD enables the pelvis to move sideways and the weight to be shifted to the supporting leg. This activates the trunk muscles and the sense of balance - crucial factors in gait rehabilitation.
Advantages:
- Highly efficient and effective gait training
- Physiological gait pattern thanks to individually adjustable orthoses, guiding force and weight relief
- Optimal challenge for patients
- Support for specific therapy goals
- Longer and more intensive training sessions
- High motivation through direct performance feedback and playful exercises
- Optimal utilization of neuroplasticity and therapy potential
Success stories:
- The spasticity associated with Amon's MS makes personal hygiene and intimacy extremely difficult for him. Through intensive mobilization as part of robotic gait therapy in the Lokomat Pro, the spasticity was reduced so much that Amon can use more of his strength in his legs and needs less help with personal hygiene.
- Moritz suffered a traumatic brain injury in a traffic accident and his greatest wish ever since has been to be able to walk again. Intensive physiotherapy in the Lokomat Pro has brought him closer to his goal step by step. Moritz can now take individual steps with a little help.
